Who we are

PetroEquity Signal is an independent publication focused on corporate oil and gas strategy, leadership, markets, M&A and valuation.

It is written for investors and industry leaders interested in how companies create or destroy shareholder value: where they invest, which assets they own, how businesses and transactions are structured, how boards and management teams make decisions, and what markets are prepared to reward.

The articles examine corporate strategy, portfolio choices, governance, valuation, distributions and shareholder returns across the oil and gas sector. The aim is not to summarise the news, but to interpret what company decisions mean, test the assumptions behind them and assess whether the strategy is credible.

PetroEquity Signal is written by Oberon Houston from the perspective of an oil and gas investment banker, combining sector experience with close analysis of company disclosures, transaction documents and market outcomes.
